Did you know 97% of people who want to write a book never finish their first book?
When Kauffman, who runs the WriteNow YouTube channel, shared with me this stat live on the Beyond the Book Podcast, I was a little mind-blown.
Some research after the podcast proved to me… that although we can’t ever get an exact statistic here, Kauffman was certainly not far from the truth.

Whether it’s writing your first book or your first adventure beyond the book, creating amazing experiences for your readers, most of the time, we have to build the plane as we are flying it as authors.
Even the people you look up to and think “know-it-all” are just “cosplaying” as successful authors on a daily basis. We are all forever learning, all forever a tad bit confused and stressed, and all forever a bit uncertain with ourselves, the world, and if we are doing the “right” thing.
With all of this said, just a bit of courage and motivation to take the next step forward and WriteNow, in the words of Kauffman, is the biggest factor to succeeding.
That’s, of course, much easier said than done.
But Kauffman is not only one of the most positive and uplifting people I’ve ever talked to about writing…. he’s also livestreamed over 600 days in a row writing his book live.
